I could do this in April, but because simple survival needs are not prioritized in our culture, I can no longer do this.
The progress we made together was needlessly wasted.
Are you okay with that?
. . .
I’ve been told some number of times that people feel guilty when they have contact with me.
I am told this is my fault, something I am doing to them — that the people around me are all agreeing they feel a certain way about me, and this means that they are right.
I wonder if these people have endured physical torture like I am enduring daily?
I think there is a pretty good chance they do not know what I mean when I say that.
. . .
If you feel guilty reading this, there may be a good reason.
You have the option to run from it and pretend it didn’t happen. That is the most common choice I guess.
You have the option to believe that the most vulnerable person trying to communicate with you is the greatest threat to you.
You also have the option to meet this challenge compassionately.
Maybe your guilty feeling is not the fault of the person in front of you.
Maybe it’s the result of misinformed running.
. . .
I could do this again — and make money for people who desperately need it — very easily with collective awareness and basic kindness.
Many others could regain their functions and progress and recovery also.
If you help, there’s a good chance you will not feel guilty anymore. (This is how we have found it to work, too.)
This is not guilt that other people are trying to put on you as a punishment.
It is guilt that is emerging from your increasing awareness of the terrible conditions on this planet.
You feel guilty because you care.
You really do care, and people saying you do not feels very hurtful to you.
You get upset because you think the guilt is being used on you to control you.
Your culture does this rampantly in ways it insists you disclaim.
But the suffering and desperate person in front of you who is multiply marginalized and asking for your help, this person is not using guilt as a weapon on you.
This person is trying to communicate with you so that what has happened to them will not happen to you and the people you love.
